CLUTCH Drummer Offers Latest Update

May 27, 2003

CLUTCH drummer Jean Paul Gaster recently posted the following update to the band's official web site:

"There are a few things happening around here that might be of some interest to gearheads and such. We are compiling the next River Road style release. This will be 'Slow Hole to China'. It will have a bit of everything on it. Unreleased 'Pure Rock Fury' [2001] cuts as well as studio stuff from the last year's studio recordings. We hope to have this together July/August for sale on the site as well as gigs.

"The band is now recording stuff at my place. This record probably won't be released until 1st quarter next year. No titles or confirmed songs but things seem to be very vibey over here. This will be a very different album than 'Pure Rock Fury'. We will keep you posted.

"I think THE BAKERTON GROUP [the instrumental side project comprised of three members of CLUTCH—ed.] will begin playing a few gigs as well. We are looking to start this stuff later in the summer."
