Montreal, Quebec, Canada-based black/death metallers NECRONOMICON will take a break from recording their new album to make a special appearance in Toronto on December 6. The concert will take place on December 6 at Reilly's Bar & Grill and will include additional performances by CRIMSON SHADOW and ADYTUM.
Commented NECRONOMICON in a statement: "The band is really happy to finish the year in one of their favorite city and hope to see you there ready to rock. It's gonna be the first event after Rob the Witch car accident this last September, he still have is left leg hurting and can't stay up or walk for too long, but he assured us that he'll give the best during the next show."
NECRONOMICON is currently seeking a new label home. According to a posting on the band's MySpace page, "some talks have started with some of them already but nothing as been officially decided or signed."
NECRONOMICON this past spring shot a video for the new song "The Time Is Now" from the band's upcoming album "Return of the Witch".
NECRONOMICON's third album, "Return of the Witch" will feature guest appearances by Arianne Fleury (ex-AUGURY) and Roxanne Constantin (NEGATIVA, QUO VADIS), among others.
The band previously stated that the follow-up to 2003's "The Sacred Medicines" would "probably be the fastest and most brutal" CD the group has released thus far.
Other songtitles set to appear on the album include "Into the Fire", "Alpha Omega", "The Awakening", and "Return of the Witch".
