ROYAL ANGUISH: Recording Process For New Album 'Moving Forward Full Steam'

April 4, 2008

Florida-based extreme metal act ROYAL ANGUISH has issued the following update:

"First and foremost, the recording process for our upcoming CD, 'The Grand Deception', is moving forward full steam.

As many of you know, the original production of this CD saw recording start last summer. Unfortunately, the recordings were not coming along as anticipated, so we made the decision to blow the whole thing up and start from scratch once we had resolved the issues that had hindered the original sessions. After reassessing our processes and songwriting, we 'restarted' the process in December of 2007 with a new outlook, and we are happy to report that we have a large portion of the process complete. We are deep into the guitar and keyboard tracking and hope to have a few advance/rough versions up on the web for all to hear in the not-too-distant future. We are much happier with the path the CD has taken and we are very eager to get new tracks out to the masses so that we can officially start the newest chapter of RA's existence.

"The CD currently is slated to have 11 songs (plus an opening). The song titles are as follows:

* Dawn Of The New Age (Intro)
* Only The Weak Survive
* Please Educate Me
* Into The Wilderness
* Thy Pale Existence
* Sullen Eyes Revisited
* Blood On Your Hands
* Lovelorn Betrayal
* Dirt At Your Feet
* The Grand Deception
* Demon Seed
* Kindred Spirits

"We also are proud to announce that MORPHIA's frontman Jasper Pietersen will make a guest appearance on the title track of our CD. Jasper's a great guy and we couldn't be any happier finding a way to include him on this project. We have multiple other guest appearances lined up, but we'll wait until we have the tracking done and in hand before making those official announcements.

"Lastly we'd like to give a shout out to our bassist Sean Tibbetts who once again will be out on the road with KAMELOT during the upcoming European tour. I think everyone (in both bands) is keeping their fingers crossed that Sean returns back without any injuries this time (last KAMELOT tour he blew his knee out during the first bar of the first song of the first show... yeeeouch!). Please check the KAMELOT website for tour dates and make sure to come out and show support!"

ROYAL ANGUISH's "A Journey Through the Shadows of Time" CD was released through Fear Dark (Holland).
