THROES OF DAWN 'Making Great Progress' With New Album Recordings

November 12, 2007

Finnish dark metal band THROES OF DAWN recently issued the following update:

"THROES OF DAWN is making great progress with the recordings [of the band's fifth album] with more than half of the material already done! Drums, bass and lead guitars are 'in the can,' next in line are the vocals and last but not least, synths, acoustic and additional guitars. We're expecting for the record to be out spring 2008, so just wait!

"In April 2008 THROES OF DAWN will perform a show in Germany. More info will be added to the pages later.

"Avantgarde Records has finally made a jewel-cased re-release of 'Binding of the Spirit' [1999]! After years of having this album out of the market, the album is back due to public demand."

THROES OF DAWN's fourth album, "Quicksilver Clouds", was released in the U.S. in January 2005 via Cleopatra Records. The U.S. version of the album featured a completely different cover to the European edition, which was issued in 2004 through Avantgarde/Wounded Love Records. The follow-up to 2000's "Binding of the Spirit" was recorded and mixed in three separate sessions between August and November 2003 at Sonic Pump studios in Helsinki.
