DEICIDE Plays Surprise Set At CURTIS BEESON Benefit Concert; Video Available
February 12, 2011Florida death metal veterans DEICIDE played a surprise four-song set at last night's (Friday, February 11) benefit concert for Curtis Beeson, former drummer of the '80s/'90s metal bands NASTY SAVAGE, MASSACRE, FESTER and DENIAL FIEND, at the Crowbar in Ybor City/Tampa, Florida.
Video footage of DEICIDE's entire performance can be found on Tyronehood.tv. A couple of the clips (including a brand new track, "Witness Of Death") are available below.
Curtis underwent surgery in July 2010 to have a "massive brain tumor" removed. He is currently undergoing radiation treatment and needs help with paying his extensive medical bills. You can make donations at any Bank Of America in the nation. Just ask to donate to the "Curtis Beeson Medical Fund".
"To Hell With God", the new album from DEICIDE, will be released on February 15 via Century Media Records. The CD was produced by Mark Lewis (THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, CHIMAIRA) at Audiohammer Studios in Sanford, Florida.
DEICIDE will embark on the "God Is Dead – To Hell With God Tour" in February/March. The Bloody Disgusting-sponsored trek, which is scheduled to kick off on February 15, will feature support from BELPHEGOR, BLACKGUARD, NEURAXIS and PATHOLOGY.
Tickets for the tour are now on sale via EnterTheVault.com.
DEICIDE's last CD, "Till Death Do Us Part", sold 2,900 copies in the United States in its first week of release.
